The WriteMix is a community service initiative of Harkins House Productions. Launched officially in January 2014, it is purposed to provide a base of support for all published and unpublished writers from every genre in Memphis and the surrounding areas. At each WriteMix gathering, writers meet at a specific location to fellowship, gain insight, and share perspectives that fortifies their writing lives. Most events are usually free, however, The WriteMix offers special events and opportunities to enhance their crafts, aid them in becoming a published writer and maintaining their lives as professional writers.
The WriteMix relaunches in September 2015 with a new social event for the Memphis writer community. #WritersNightOut will be a quarterly occurrence that allows writers to connect with each other as they work on their upcoming writing projects. It will give writers the scoop on upcoming events and workshops hosted by the WriteMix and pertinent information pertaining to the craft of writing.

This first #WritersNightOut will be hosted at Midtown Crossing Grill, a quaint Memphis eatery with delicious pizzas made from fresh ingredients, sandwiches, and delectable desserts such as Oreo cheesecake. Wine will be provided courtesy of The WriteMix, however, the establishment allows BYOB. Get to know other writers in the city and learn about the Fall 2015 cluster of events and workshops coming up as well as dive into some resources and discussions about our beloved craft of writing. Writers of all genres are encouraged to attend!
